TV Games Part Deux!

I think ABC should be included in our TV Games. ABC is a big national channel and many ACC games are on ABC.

Any inputs? Comments?

Meeting

The six of you need to establish a time, maybe an hour, where you make sure you are getting the data from the same sources. Therefore the six of you need to be in the same room at the same time to discuss data and the spreadsheet.

TV Games

For the column that covers how many national TV games a team played the year before, go to espn.com and find your school's basketball home page. Click on Schedule/Results and it will give you the team's record and which ones were on TV. Only count games that were on ESPN, ESPN2, CBS, or the national Fox network.

Variables Columns:

Stars for the Freshman Class
Guards for Freshman, Soph, JR, SR Class
Forwards for Freshman, Soph, JR, SR Class
Nationally televised games found on ESPN.com
Wins for 2003-2006
Dummy Variable for whether they were in NCAA tournament previous year
Dummy Variable for NIT berth previous years
Wins in NCAA tourney
Number of Returning Players
Number of Returning Players that averaged more than 15 a game
Has coach changed in 3 years? A one if they have changed.
Coach's career winning percentage.
No sanction variable.

I suggest a meeting among the six of you to discuss where you are getting the information. We need to make sure the data is coming from the same place.
